The Department of Public Works, with main offices at 3091 County Center Drive, Suite 220, Auburn CA,  located at the Community Development Resource Center, on the corner of Bell Road and Richardson Avenue, provides a wide range of public services with offices located in Auburn and North Lake Tahoe. Maintenance crew corporation yards are located in the North Lake Tahoe, Colfax, Foresthill, Lincoln, Auburn, and Loomis areas.

The Department of Public Works is comprised of four separate divisions: Transportation, Fleet Services, Road Maintenance, and Administration.
