Auburn Folsom Road Widening Project

Detour Alert:

Beginning on Monday, August 4th traffic on Auburn Folsom Road between Country Court and Fuller Drive will be detoured onto a temporary paved roadway just east of the current roadway. This detour is expected to last several months.

  • This detour will shift traffic to the east onto a temporary roadway while work is taking place on the new roadway.
  • Northbound traffic will be moved onto the temporary roadway on Monday, August 4th.
  • Southbound traffic will be moved onto the temporary roadway by the end of the week no later than August 8th.
  • Several businesses and residences within the detour area will be impacted and traffic will have limited or modified access to these businesses and residences during this stage of construction. The attached/linked detour map depicts the temporary access during this phase of the project.
  • Signs directing people to the impacted businesses and residences will also be posted.
  • Access to westbound Eureka Road from northbound Auburn Folsom Road may be closed at various times between the dates of August 4th and August 8th. Notice, including the times of this closure, will be posted prior to any closure.
  • Traffic striping and traffic signals will be in place and will allow the detour to operate similar to the current roadway with the exception of access to the businesses and residences shown on the attached/linked detour map.

We apologize for the impacts the detour will have on the travelling public and we will make every attempt to minimize the inconvenience to the public. We appreciate the public’s understanding and the added planning by motorists that will be required as we work through this phase of the project.
