Public Invited To Comment On Mental Health Services Act In Placer County
April 02, 2010
The public is invited to comment on the Placer County Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Draft 2010-2011 Annual Update, either during a meeting on April 26, or in writing to the Health and Human Services Department. The update includes information on Placer’s community planning and local review process and the various components of the Mental Health Services Act. A copy of the report can be found at http://www.placer.ca.gov/Departments/hhs/adult/MHSA.aspx.
After a comprehensive community planning process in 2005, Placer County developed a three-year program and expenditure plan for monies generated by the Mental Health Services Act. The goal of the Act and the Campaign for Community Wellness is to transform the mental health system into one that is more client and family-driven and focused on the principles of recovery and resilience. Another goal is to identify and address specific areas of service need in Placer County.
Public comment may be sent in writing electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to Michele Zavoras, Placer County Adult System of Care, 101 Cirby Hills Drive, Roseville, CA 95678 prior to the April 26, 2010 public hearing.
At the public hearing, which is planned for April 26, 2010 at 5:45 p.m., any individual may speak or may submit written comments at that time. The hearing will take place during the meeting of the Placer County Mental Health Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board, at the county’s Adult System of Care Cafeteria, 101 Cirby Hills Drive, Roseville, CA 95678.
