Half-Off Pet Adoptions Extended for the Holidays
December 15, 2011
The Half-Off Pet Adoption Promotion which began November 15th has been extended until January 31st at both Placer County Animal Shelters in Auburn and in Tahoe Vista! Placer County Animal Services is able to offer the half-off coupons due to charitable contributions and the support of A New Hope Animal Foundation. The generosity of the community and of A New Hope to help find homes for more dogs and cats is greatly appreciated. The coupons are available for all adoptable animals at both County Shelters in Auburn and in Tahoe Vista. Residents need only to arrive at a Shelter, select their new pet, get a coupon on the spot, and pay half of the usual fee. The half-off fee will be $56 for dogs and $46 for cats. When someone adopts a new pet from these animal shelters, they also receive over $250 worth of services with their adoption, including heartworm testing, vaccinations, micro chipping (and registration) and a free initial veterinarian exam from participating veterinary clinics.
"We're very excited to be able to extend Home for the Holidays until January 31st!" says Lynn Howe of A New Hope Animal Foundation. "With the influx of puppies, adult dogs of all breeds, kittens and cats into our animal shelters this season, we'd like to help promote adoptions of these wonderful pets! It’s our goal to help find homes for all our orphaned pets and make it easier for families to adopt." A New Hope Animal Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is a valued partner of Placer County Animal Services and assists the County staff with animal care and adoptions.
