October 21, 2011
The Placer County Board of Supervisors will hold its regularly scheduled meeting in the Lake Tahoe Basin on Mon., Oct. 24 and Tues., Oct. 25, 2011. The October meeting will be held at the Granlibakken Conference Center and Lodge in Tahoe City. Monday’s meeting begins at 2 p.m. The Tuesday session will begin at 9 a.m.
Issues on the Board’s agenda include:
- An update from the Community Development Resources Agency staff on the status of various development projects in Eastern Placer County;
- The Planning Services Division and the County Executive Office will give the Board an update on the County’s Tahoe Basin Community Plan Update. Under previous direction from the Board, staff began work on the update in November 2010. The Board received a progress report at its July 2011 meeting and directed staff to continue work as proposed. At Monday’s meeting, staff will provide a status report and detail next steps;
- Consideration of a resolution authorizing the Director of the Placer County Public Works to sign an agreement with the Tahoe Transportation District for the State Route 89/Fanny Bridge Revitalization Project. The purpose of this project is to reduce congestion and improve safety and operations of the SR89/28 intersection in Tahoe City by addressing present and future automobile travel demands, pedestrian and bicycle mobility, public transit needs, the structural and cultural integrity of the Truckee River Bridge (Fanny Bridge) and emergency access to the West Shore within the Truckee River Bridge influence area.
At both Monday’s and Tuesday’s sessions, there will be opportunity for public comment on any issues not on the Board’s agenda. A complete agenda can be found by clicking on this link: Tahoe Agendas.
