Offices up for the November 6, 2012 Presidential General Election

Candidate filing opens for the Nov., 6, 2012, Presidential General Election opens July 16, 2012 and closes Aug., 10, 2012. If the incumbent fails to file by Aug., 10, 2012 the filing period for that office will be extended to Aug., 15, 2012 for individuals other than the incumbent.

Placer County residents in the Tahoe area will also be able to file at the Tahoe City Customs House building located at 775 North Lake Blvd, Tahoe City. Candidates can file for office there from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Candidate filing in Tahoe will begin on July 18, 2012 instead of July 16.

Partisan offices up for election in Placer County are President of the United States.
