Its outreach efforts are particularly critical, because veterans often are not aware of all the benefits and services available to them.”

The Veterans Service Office was established by the Board of Supervisors to assist veterans, their dependents and survivors in obtaining entitlements from federal, state and local agencies that administer veteran programs.  The office is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Services provided by the county office include comprehensive benefit counseling; claim preparation and assistance; claim follow-up to ensure final decisions; the initiation and development of claims when appropriate; and networking with federal, state and local agencies.

The office is located at 1000 Sunset Blvd., Suite 115, in Rocklin. Office hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The office’s telephone number is 916-780-3290.
