Forum will address needs of Placer County’s growing older and disabled population
September 10, 2015
AUBURN, Calif. -- Almost a third of Placer County adult residents are over 60 years of age. To consider options for addressing the needs of this growing population, the Placer County Older Adult Advisory Commission is sponsoring a community forum on a possible option: the Aging and Disability Resource Connection, a service delivery model, Sept. 15 in Auburn.
The model’s purpose is to provide older adults and persons with disabilities and their families an easily accessible, consistent and customer-friendly system of information, assistance, support and services.
The public is encouraged to attend the forum, which will discuss the ADRC model and provide an opportunity for residents to give input on needed services. The forum will be Sept. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the Planning Commission’s chambers, 3091 County Center Drive in Auburn, in the Placer County Government Center.
Presenters include Placer County District 3 Supervisor Jim Holmes and Health and Human Services Director Jeff Brown, as well as state, regional and local experts.
As space is limited, attendees are asked to make a reservation by contacting Pauline Moreno by telephone, 530-886-3680, or Email. She can also arrange for disability accommodations.
