Comprehensive look at Kings Beach projects and possibilities the focus of June 20 community meeting

Kings Beach has seen dramatic improvements in the past few years, and there are many more in store for the years ahead. Placer County is teaming up with other local and state agencies to provide a look at the big picture of Kings Beach’s future at a community meeting June 20 at the North Tahoe Event Center.
Representatives from Placer County, California State Parks, California Tahoe Conservancy and the North Tahoe Public Utility District will be on hand to answer questions about the recently approved Tahoe Basin Area Plan, a possible Kings Beach boardwalk, future options for the intersection of highways 267 and 28, the state parks general plan, water quality improvements in ‘the grid,’ plans for some of the blighted properties owned by the former redevelopment agency, the North Tahoe Public Utilities District’s water conservation and grid waterline replacement projects and more.
The meeting will be hosted in open house style, so visitors can drop by at any time to learn about the projects that interest them.
