County seeking input on possible community center for greater Auburn in second of three public meetings Sept. 9

Published on August 20, 2015

Studying the feasibility of a potential multigenerational community center in the Auburn area is the focus of a Placer County effort that’s now underway. To better determine the makeup of this project, three public workshops have been scheduled to gather community input.

The second and next workshop will be held Sept. 9 at Auburn Elementary School from 6-8 p.m. County staff will present and discuss findings from assessment meetings with local community partners and stakeholder organizations.

The workshops will provide an opportunity for interested community members to listen and talk about the direction of the project.  The county wants to hear from greater Auburn area residents of all ages - children, teens, young adults, parents and seniors.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  The draft feasibility study will be presented at the third and final community meeting in October. The date and time for the third meeting will be announced later.

Meeting Details:

WHERE: Auburn Elementary School Multipurpose Room, 11400 Lariat Ranch Road, in North Auburn
