Local water agencies will provide updates on the drought and its implications for Granite Bay during a meeting of the Granite Bay Municipal Advisory Council to be held Wednesday, Feb. 5.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the offices of the Eureka Union School District, 5455 Eureka Road, in Granite Bay.

The scheduled speakers are:

  • Einar Maisch, Director of Strategic Affairs for the Placer County Water Agency, and
  • Shauna Lorance, General Manager of the San Juan Water District.

“I urge residents to attend, because the meeting will offer a great chance to get the latest information on the drought and its potential implications for Granite Bay and Placer County,” said 4th District Supervisor Kirk Uhler. “Anyone who has seen how far water levels have dropped at Folsom Lake understands how serious the situation is. It’s critical for all of us to stay informed and do everything we can to help conserve water.”

Supervisor Uhler represents Granite Bay on the Placer County Board of Supervisors.
