Vacant Seat on Granite Bay Municipal Advisory Council
Published on July 17, 2014
Placer County is accepting applications from community members interested in filling a vacancy on the Granite Bay Municipal Advisory Council.
The Placer County Board of Supervisors has not set a deadline for filling the vacant position, but hopes to do so soon. Fourth District Supervisor Kirk Uhler, the board member who represents Granite Bay, will review the applications and recommend a candidate for approval by the full board.
Commonly known as MACs, the county’s 13 municipal advisory councils advise the Board of Supervisors on issues of public interest in unincorporated areas. The councils are charged with gathering public comment on a range of topics, including land use, public works, recreation, law enforcement and public health and safety.
Members of the Granite Bay MAC must reside, own property, or own or manage businesses within the MAC’s boundaries. It generally meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Eureka Union School District’s offices, 5455 Eureka Road in Granite Bay.
More information on the Granite Bay MAC is available on Supervisor Uhler’s website.
For application forms, call the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office at 530-889-4020 or go to the county website for Applications.
Completed applications should be delivered to the Clerk of the Board’s Office in person or by mail. The office is located at 175 Fulweiler Avenue in Auburn and the mailing address is 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603. Applications may also be scanned and emailed.
