Placer County is now accepting applications from qualified residents interested in serving on the Squaw Valley Design Review Committee.

The committee currently has one vacancy and expects to have another this fall. Fifth District Supervisor Jennifer Montgomery will review the applications and recommend candidates for approval by the full Board of Supervisors in early autumn.

Committee members serve two-year terms and must reside within the area covered by the Squaw Valley General Plan.

The five-member committee advises the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and Planning Services Division on design issues within the Squaw Valley Village area and along Squaw Valley Road. Meetings generally are held at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Squaw Valley Public Service District, 305 Squaw Valley Road.

For application forms, call the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office at 530-889-4020 or go to the county website at applications.

Completed applications should be delivered to the Clerk of the Board’s Office in person or by mail. The office is located at 175 Fulweiler Ave. in Auburn and the mailing address is 175 Fulweiler Ave., Auburn, CA 95603. Applications may also be scanned and emailed to the Clerk of the Board
