Child Support Services To Hold Outreach Seminar on Tuesday, May 20
Published on May 14, 2014
The Placer County Department of Child Support Services will hold a monthly public outreach seminar on Tuesday, May 20 in Rocklin.
The seminar will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in the department’s offices at 1000 Sunset Boulevard, Suite 200.
The free monthly seminars are open to the general public. They offer the public an opportunity to learn more about the department’s programs and services and provide answers to questions about such issues as how to open child support cases, how custody affects child support payments, how long child support payments are required and how payments are enforced.
The seminars are part of the department’s efforts to foster honest and transparent relationships with the families it serves.
“We are here to help families, and work toward what is in the best interest of the child, without bias or judgment,” said Child Support Supervisor Kristen Mindus. “The whole purpose of these monthly events is to give residents a clear understanding of the processes and of the many services Placer County is committed to providing to families.”
The department’s services are available to any parent, guardian, or caretaker regardless of income. The services include establishing paternity, establishing and enforcing child and medical support orders, accounting, and locating parents.
