Placer County Seeking Applicants for Assessment Appeals Board

Published on January 23, 2015

Placer County is seeking applicants for the Assessment Appeals Board, an entity dealing with real property valuation in the county. Because the board deals with complex appraisal matters, there are specific eligibility requirements. Board members must have five years of professional experience in California working as: a certified public accountant or public accountant; a licensed real estate broker; an attorney; a property appraiser accredited by a nationally recognized professional organization; or a property appraiser certified by the Office of Real Estate Appraisers. Board members receive compensation for their services. For information about the Board, visit the Assessment Appeals Board page.

Those interested in serving on this active and important board are encouraged to complete a county Committees and Commissions application, available online: Application (PDF) , and return it to the Clerk of the Board's office, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603.
