This two-phased renovation of a historic post office facility included ADA accessible path of travel, parking and site-work improvements, restroom upgrades, new entry area, paint, flooring, roofing, electrical, mechanical and structural upgrades.

This award winning building is another example of the consolidation of government services into a single facility; in this case, all of the public’s land planning functions can be conducted behind a single counter.

District Attorney/Assessors Tenant Improvement
The first phase of this project consisted of a first floor tenant improvement in an unfinished space, relocating the Assessor’s office to accommodate current and future staffing requirements.

442nd Regimental Combat Team Memorial
For the first phase of this WWII memorial, Placer County created a 36-foot wide concrete compass and framed an open space to the south with two large granite boulders that represent the struggles U.S. soldiers’ endured coming out of the Vosges Mountains in France during the war.

Ground Mount Solar Array
This 325 kilowatt ground mounted solar array system is providing the majority of the Juvenile Detention Center’s power needs. The project was the first of its kind for Placer County.

Hidden Falls Bridges
Salmon Run Bridge and Canyon View Bridge, spanning 100 feet and 118 feet respectively, were designed and constructed along with eight trail culvert crossings to support hiking, biking and equestrian riding within the park’s trail network.

Due to the park’s popularity over the last several years, additional equestrian trailer parking was needed.

Juvenile Detention Center Security Cameras
This project provided 36 new hi-definition cameras as well as other improvements to the existing CCTV system to provide better compliance with State requirements.

Rocklin Library Tenant Improvements
The new Rocklin Branch Library is located in a remodeled commercial office building originally purchased by the Rocklin Redevelopment Agency and leased by the County.

The South Placer Adult Correctional Facility (SPACF) is a 980-bed medium/maximum security adult correctional facility.

Tahoe Administration Center Improvements
After the acquisition of this commercial building in 2010, the County initially renovated a second-floor suite to house the Assessor’s Tahoe Division, and then in 2012 completed the renovation of the entire first floor to accommodate the Tahoe Division of the Community Development Resource Agency.

Tahoe City Carpet Replacement
This project replaced flooring that had been in place for 30 years or more.

Video Upgrades
Capital Improvements provided design support to the project team upgrading and expanding the video surveillance system and adding recording capabilities.
