This new state-of-the-art animal care and adoption facility is designed to provide a calming environment for both animals and people, replacing an existing antiquated building. Design features promote animal wellness, including extensive natural light, stress-reducing separation of animal areas and noise reduction features, and individual indoor kennels with access to exterior run spaces. The facility also includes welcoming indoor and outdoor animal adoption spaces, a pet clinic with veterinary services, and a small retail store with animal care products for sale. The project is currently tracking a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Silver Certification for its sustainable and high-performance building features.
