Dental benefits are provided by Delta Dental. Coverage is provided to employees at no cost and dependents can be added at the employee’s expense. Major treatments are excluded in the first year of coverage for all dependents added through the Open Enrollment period, but fully covered when enrolled at the time of hire.
If you have a disabled dependent child, you may be able to continue dental benefits for him or her by filling out the disabled dependent certification form (PDF). For a child to be eligible as a disabled dependent, the following must be true:
The child is incapable of self-support because of a mental or physical condition
The child is over the age of 26
The child is unmarried
The disability existed prior to reaching age 26 and continuously since age 26, as certified by a licensed physician
