On-demand transit for Tahoe
In an effort to reduce traffic congestion in and out of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts, business leaders there have agreed to impose a 1% assessment fee on lodging and day-use ski tickets in order to fund the cost of “micro transit,” an on-demand shuttle service.

Third roundabout for Kings Beach
A new roundabout could be in the works for a high-traffic interchange in Kings Beach, with the Placer County Board of Supervisors today approving a $900,000 contract agreement with Omni-Means to begin the safety and congestion improvement project.

Public input on Placer Sports and Event Center
Placer County is seeking public input on the draft environmental report for the proposed Placer County Sports and Event Center project at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville, now called @the Grounds. A public meeting on the proposal is set for September 17.
