Report Fraud

Fraud is defined as the intentional misuse of public assistance by withholding information or giving false or inaccurate information. Placer County Human Services takes fraud very seriously. The most common types of fraud that occur are:

  • The absent parent is in the home
  • Children are not living in the home
  • Ineligible children
  • Unreported income

If you suspect someone has committed welfare fraud you can report your suspicions by calling 916-784-6180 or submitting a report online.
