Composition

Composed of 13 members, one each representing the following: 

  • Academia
  • Building Industry
  • Contractors/Installers' Association
  • Environmental Consultant; Planning Commissioner or Member of the Board of Supervisors
  • Manufacturers' Association (to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors)
  • On-Site Sewage Disposal Consultant
  • Placer County Architects, Geologists, Engineers, and Surveyors (P.A.G.E.S.)
  • Placer County Association of Realtors
  • Placer County Public Works
  • Public-at-Large
  • Septage Pumper
  • Septic Tank Manufactures' Association

The term is for two years commencing on October 1, 2000. Per Resolution 2004-273 members in Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 13 shall terminate on October 1, 2005 and 2-year terms; members in Seats 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 shall terminate on October 1, 2006 and 2-year terms.

Purpose

To make recommendations to the Environmental Health Director regarding ordinance adoption/revisions, review methods, techniques and materials for on-site sewage treatment and disposal, and policy issues (Resolution 92-211). 

  • Resolution 93-173 adding two at-large members,
  • Resolution 2000-239, changing the composition of membership.
  • Resolution 2004-273 renaming the Sewage Disposal Advisory Committee to Wastewater Advisory Committee
