Five members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Members shall own real property within the area, or own or operate a business within the area. Terms shall be for two years.
The Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) may advise the Board of Supervisors on matters of concern which relate to the area served by the Municipal Advisory Council, including but not limited to land use, public health, safety, public works, law enforcement, and recreation. In addition, the Council shall advise the Board of Supervisors on matters specifically referred to it by the Board of Supervisors for review and recommendation.
The Council shall adopt rules, regulations and procedures as are reasonable and appropriate for its activity, as are specifically approved by the Board of Supervisors. The Council shall also comply with any rules, regulations, and procedures contained in the MAC Manual prescribed and approved by the Board of Supervisors. In absence of procedures to the contrary, the council shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order.
The Council shall keep all record of its actions in a form prescribed by the Placer County Auditor.
All members of the Council shall serve without compensation.
