Sheriff Information Technology

The Placer County Sheriff Office's Information Technology (IT) Unit is responsible for providing twenty-four hour a day maintenance and support for over 500 network users throughout the Sheriff's Office as well as providing application support to other Placer County law enforcement agencies. The IT Unit is responsible for the maintenance and support of over forty (40) Sheriff's Department computerized systems including:

  • County-wide Megan's Law Systems
  • Integrated Public Safety System
    • CAD Activity Reporting System
    • Computer Aided Dispatch
    • Corrections Management System
    • County-wide CLETS Access
    • Geographic Presentation Analysis
    • Justice Data Link
    • Mobile Data Computing
    • Records Management System
    • Video Mugshot System

As well as providing the maintenance and support of the software applications, the IT Unit continues to maintain and support:

  • 300 PC Workstations
    • Associated printers
  • Over 90 Mobile Data Computers
  • Over 40 remote PC Workstations
    • Colfax Substation
    • Foresthill Service Center
    • Placer County Schools
    • Remote Citrix users
    • Special Investigation Unit
