The Placer County Public Health Division is working towards achieving Public Health Accreditation. Public Health Accreditation is a voluntary national accreditation program lead by the Public Health Accreditation Board. The Accreditation process is a measurement of the health department’s performance against a set of nationally recognized, practice-focused, and evidenced-based standards. The overall goal of accreditation is to improve and protect the health of the public by advancing the quality and performance of health departments.
