Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Skogen pled guilty today to one count of unlawful sex with a minor as a felony. In a plea agreement reached with our office, the defendant will be placed on three years formal probation and must serve 150 days in jail and attend counseling.

He will be eligible to apply for alternative sentencing. Skogen will also be prohibited from being in the presence of minors without their parent or guardian present. The case was referred to the Placer County Probation Office so that they may prepare a formal probation report in the case. Skogen’s formal sentencing will be on January 7, 2015, at 1:30 in Department 44 of the Placer County Superior Court.
