PROSECUTION BEGINS IN CASE OF MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY STOLE $60,000 FROM THE STATE
The Placer County District Attorney’s Office has brought charges against a Roseville man who allegedly made electronic withdrawals totaling about $60,000 from a bank account belonging to the state of California.
Mathieu Jordon Miller, 30, was arraigned Thursday in Placer County Superior Court on charges of grand theft, petty theft with a prior conviction and two counts of drug possession. He pleaded not guilty.
Also charged with grand theft in the case is Kelly Patricia McReynolds, 40, who lives with him. She also goes by the last name of McAllister.
McReynolds’ daughter, Erin Virginia McReynolds, 20, who lives in the same home, is charged with possession of illegal drugs in the case. Both women have entered pleas of not guilty.
Miller and the two women were arrested April 28 by agents of the California Department of Justice.
The three defendants will return to court on June 1 for further proceedings.
