LINCOLN COUPLE ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY MOLESTING AN UNDERAGE GIRL IN 2007

A husband and wife are scheduled for arraignment at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Placer County Jail courtroom in Auburn on charges that they sexually molested a child under the age of 14 in 2007.

The couple, Obed Amaniadab Duran, 25, and Annie Michelle Duran, 21, of Lincoln, were served with arrest warrants at their home late Tuesday afternoon by investigators from the Placer County District Attorney’s Office and detectives from the Lincoln Police Department.

The two defendants are in custody at the Placer County jail on bail of $75,000 each.

Obed Duran is charged with 12 counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under the age of 14, one other molestation count and on one count of exhibiting pornographic material to a minor.

Annie Duran is charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under the age of 14.

The complaint filed against the couple alleges that the crimes occurred on three separate occasions between August and December of 2007.

Prosecutor Jeff Wood of the Placer County District Attorney’s Office said the girl would occasionally stay with the Durans, who knew her family.
