Placer animal lovers sought for advisory committee

Published on May 10, 2018

Placer County is now accepting applications for its Animal Services Advisory Committee.

Any interested community members — along with those in the shelter, rescue, veterinary and education fields — are encouraged to apply online. Applications will be accepted through May 31. Members will be selected by Placer County Animal Services staff.

This committee works to establish and maintain a relationship with community partners and stakeholders that care for the wellbeing of domestic animals in Placer County.

The Animal Services Advisory Committee provides a forum to share information with partners and the community regarding the operations of the Animal Services division. It also receives recommendations from partners to help improve the county’s practices and strengthen opportunities for collaboration to enhance animal services programs.

Meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Ambassador Room at Placer County Animal Services, 11232 B Avenue in Auburn, on the fourth Thursday of January, April, July and October.
