Placer County is in the process of developing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies to implement transportation management-related goals and policies adopted in the Tahoe Basin Area Plan. Placer County staff are seeking input from community members about top opportunities for TDM implementation in the North Tahoe region.
Transportation Demand Management focuses on understanding how people make their transportation decisions and helping people use the infrastructure in place to maximize alternative travel choice such as:

Placer County staff will present the final Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies report at the July 23rdth, 2019 Board of Supervisor’s meeting. The Board of Supervisors will consider the report and be asked to take action to approve the strategies for future implementation in the Tahoe Region.
