Placer County Cemetery District 1 seeks new trustee

Placer County Cemetery District 1 is looking for a volunteer to fill a seat on its Board of Trustees. Placer County Cemetery District 1 maintains four cemeteries in the Lincoln area, which include Santa Clara Memorial Park, Lincoln Cemetery, Manzanita Cemetery and Sheridan Cemetery.
The Board of Trustees is comprised of five at-large members who are appointed by the Placer County Board of Supervisors to serve four-year terms. Trustees are responsible for managing the administrative operations of the cemeteries within the district, including review and approval of expenditures, policy development, annual budget approval and personnel review.
Additionally, the trustees are responsible for review and approval of large-scale district projects.
The Placer County Cemetery District 1 meets on the second Monday of each month at 2 p.m., in Lincoln.
Anyone residing within the district boundaries who is interested in serving on this board is encouraged to apply by submitting a completed application to the Placer County Clerk of the Board located at 175 Fulweiler Avenue in Auburn. Applications are available online.
