Ride With Pride Horse Camp 2023

This year’s camp will be held June 13th - 15th 

Limit of 21 kids each day.

 

Dear Parents / Guardian, 

Placer County children ages 7-12 are invited to participate in Ride With Pride horse camp.  (Must reside within Placer County).  Members of the Sheriff’s Office have developed a complete program featuring sessions in which the children will have fun while learning about the care, handling and riding of horses.  The instructors are experienced with horses and are all members of local law enforcement.  They utilize the horses for patrol, crowd control, and special events.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for your child to receive quality hands on instruction, as well as get to know local law enforcement and their horses.  The children even get to ride one! 

 

Camp will be held June 13th, 14th and 15th from 9:00 am- 2:30 pm.  (one day camp, new kids each day).  

Camp is held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds: 1273 High Street Auburn CA 95603.  

The children receive a mid-morning snack, water, sports drink such as Gatorade with lunch, which will be Pizza (Cheese or Pepperoni).  

They are welcome to bring their own lunch (we cannot guarantee refrigeration if they bring their own lunch).

 

We will be accepting unlimited registrations requests beginning Tuesday May 9th at 9 am and ending Tuesday May 16th at 9 am.

You should only be signing up children you have legal custody of.  All children should be on the same form – one form per family.  

Selection process

After registration closes, numbers will be picked at random by PCSO staff to determine who gets to attend. 

We will continue to pick numbers until all spots are filled for each day. 

You will be notified via email starting on Tuesday May 16th If your number was picked. 

 

You will then need to complete additional waivers upon being selected to attend and will receive further information at that time. 

If you do not receive an email by 5:00pm on Thursday May 18th then your number was not selected.
