Placer County unveils the first Placer County Youth in Government Day on May 8

Placer High School students will have a unique opportunity to learn about career paths in local government during Placer County’s first Youth in Government Day on Wednesday, May 8. This event will allow students to explore “a day in the life” of Placer County staff.

The date of this event was carefully selected to coincide with Public Service Recognition Week which takes place
May 5 -11.

Youth in Government Day is anticipated to be an exciting event for high school students, highlighting the importance of public service and providing an opportunity to learn about the many career paths and employment opportunities available with Placer County. Throughout the day students will be involved in an interactive learning process, observing county government in action and touring county facilities.

This event will be hosted by the Placer County Human Resources Department.
