Placer Supervisors to tour Sierra Pacific Industries facility in Lincoln, learn about sustainable forest management

The Placer County Board of Supervisors will tour the Sierra Pacific Industries facility at 2 p.m., Oct. 18, constituting a special meeting of the board.

Accompanied by Sierra Pacific Industries’ community relations manager, Mark Luster, the board will tour the facility and discuss biomass reduction and healthy forests and energy policy.

Sierra Pacific Industries’ saw mill facility produces framing materials, heavy timbers and biomass for energy.

The board members will meet at Sierra Pacific Industries, located at 1440 Lincoln Blvd. in Lincoln. Members of the public and media are welcome to attend.
