SUPERVISING DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY MATT BLOCK RECEIVED THE CALIFORNIA NARCOTICS OFFICER ASSOCIATION (CNOA) AWARD FOR REGIONAL PROSECUTOR OF THE YEAR
Supervising Deputy District Attorney Matt Block received the California Narcotics Officer Association (CNOA) Award for Regional Prosecutor of the Year. Matt was presented with the award at the annual CNOA luncheon yesterday in Sacramento. Members of local law enforcement nominated Mr. Block for his work with our regional taskforces including TRIDENT, NECI, and Placer SIU.
Matt is the supervisor of the District Attorney Offices’ Public Integrity Unit and continues to oversee the cases involving the sales of narcotics regionally and within Placer County. Mr. Block has been with the Placer County District Attorney’s Office for thirteen years.
Matt, in working with these regional taskforces and local law enforcement, has been instrumental in fighting drug trafficking organizations and their efforts to infiltrate and distribute narcotics in Placer County. Our office is extremely proud of Matt and the work he has done for this County. We also appreciate and thank CNOA for the recognition that they give Matt and the other outstanding members of law enforcement for their efforts to keep dangerous narcotics off our streets.
