The Placer County Planning Commission will conduct a public meeting Dec. 12 to accept comments on the draft environmental impact report for the Brady Vineyard subdivision project at the northwest corner of Brady Lane and Vineyard Road.

The report is now available for public review.

Community members will have an opportunity to provide input on the project’s EIR on Dec. 12 at the Community Development Resource Center’s Planning Commission Hearing Room, 3091 County Center Drive in North Auburn. The Placer County Planning Commission meeting will begin at 10 a.m.; however, the proposed project is not time certain. Please refer to the meeting agendas at the following link up to one week prior to the meeting for updated information: www.placer.ca.gov/AgendaCenter/Planning-Commission-53.

The public meeting will include a presentation by county planning staff, who will provide the planning commission and community members an overview of the plans and then summarize the findings of the draft EIR.

The proposed Brady Vineyard subdivision, within the Dry Creek-West Placer Community Plan area, is located in the unincorporated area of Placer County west of Roseville’s city limits. The project proposes 119 detached single-family homes on a currently vacant 35-acre site and would include parks, a public trail, landscaping, a sewer lift station and traffic circulation improvements.

The project may also include up to 12 additional on-site residential units, also known as accessory dwelling units, which could be built to satisfy Placer County’s affordable housing requirements for projects seeking a General Plan amendment that increases permitted residential density.

The draft EIR is available for public review during normal business hours at the libraries in Roseville and Rocklin; the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency offices at 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn; and at the Placer County Clerk’s Office at 2954 Richardson Drive, Auburn. It’s also available online at: https://www.placer.ca.gov/5289/Brady-Vineyard-Subdivision

The public meeting provides responsible and trustee agencies, residents, civic organizations and other interested parties with an opportunity to provide comments on the draft EIR. The 45-day public review period for this project ends on Jan. 3.
