Placer County road repair projects to start this week

Published May 5, 2020

The public works team will be doing a few road repair projects that will be starting this week, should the weather permit.

These repair projects are funded by the Highway Safety Improvement Program. The original work included replacing centerline and edge line pavement markings, relocating and adding warning signs, installing flashing beacons, resurfacing roadways, and adding new cobra-head lights on new and existing poles. While the majority of this work was completed last year, some of the roadways are in need of repairs.

Weather permitting, our contractor is scheduled to complete these repairs between May 8 and May 13. The following roads are set to be resurfaced:

 Auburn (May 8)

  • Luther and Bowman Road

Rural Roseville (May 11-13)

  • Sunset Boulevard West and Amoruso Way

  • Fiddyment Road between Athens Road and Sunset Boulevard West

  • Locust Road between Baseline Road and Lowell Street

Granite Bay (May 11-13)

  • Eureka Road near the Barton Road and Eureka Road Intersection

 Auburn/Loomis (May 11-13)

  • Newcastle Road and Auburn Folsom Road

  • Newcastle Road and Brennans Road
