Volunteering With Placer County Museums

Placer County Museums offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities including museum docent, leading walking tours and living history docent. 

All seven of our museums are staffed by our volunteer docents.

Our Saturday morning walking tour of Old Town Auburn is docent-led. 

Starting in July, we will be offering a special series of training classes. Make sure to contact us soon if you would like to participate in this program!
