- Undersheriff Shayne Wright
Undersheriff Shayne Wright began his career with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office in 2009, where he held assignments throughout the sheriff’s office. Prior to his promotion, he served as the Field Operations Captain, Patrol Watch Commander, Lieutenant of Investigations, and sworn Public Information Officer.
Undersheriff Wright has also served at the North Lake Tahoe station, South Placer substation, corrections, and courts during his time at PCSO. He served on the Special Enforcement Team as an assistant team leader and team commander and is a Board Member of the California Association of Tactical Officers.
Undersheriff Wright was born and raised in North Auburn and attended Rock Creek Elementary, EV Cain, and Placer High school. He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Management and a master’s degree in Public Safety Leadership.
