Chipper program expands fire reduction efforts in Placer

CDRA Tahoe service counter
The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency in Tahoe City is updating in-person counter services until further notice. Beginning Aug. 23, in-person services will only be available, in the Tahoe City office, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and unavailable Mondays and Fridays.

Air quality advisory in effect
Placer County Public Health and Placer County Air Pollution Control District have extended the joint air quality advisory to notify the public of continued poor air quality conditions due to smoke from wildfires including the Caldor Fire in El Dorado County and others in northern California. This advisory will remain in effect until fires are significantly contained.
