Christmas Tree Recycling

No matter which portion of Placer County you are in, Christmas trees are chipped for use as mulch or added to compost - not sent to the landfill. Not only does this result in a beneficial use of the material, it also reduces the amount of methane (a potent greenhouse gas) produced at the landfill.
