- Auburn library extends hours
Published on Dec. 28, 2021
With low temperatures forecast this week and power out in several communities, Placer County’s Auburn library will operate with extended hours to offer residents a place to charge phones, laptops and durable medical devices.
The Auburn Library, located at 350 Nevada Street, will remain open to community members 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. today and tomorrow.
Regular library services will be available during normal operating hours until 6 p.m. and the community center and restroom facilities will remain open until 7 p.m.
Residents with additional needs are encouraged to call 211 to be connected with whatever resources may be available rather than calling 911. Dispatch centers have been overwhelmed by storm calls and 911 should only be used for life-and-death emergencies.
