Supplemental Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)/Public Safety Equipment Policy

Assembly Bill 481 was approved by Governor Gavin Newsome in 2021, which adds section 7070 through 7075 of the Government Code. AB 481 requires law enforcement agencies to create a policy and obtain approval from a governing body (Board of Supervisors) to purchase, obtain, and use specified equipment.
