- Placer County District Attorney’s Office files murder charges related to Loomis double homicide

Today, the Placer County District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint against 19-year-old Dennis Lynch for charges of two counts of murder with special allegations and circumstances alleged, as it related to a double homicide in Loomis, California.
Specifically, it is alleged the defendant murdered his parents; 80-year-old Gerald Upholt and 67-year-old Katheryn Lynch. The arrest was made by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office on March 28.
The defendant was advised of the charges against him this afternoon, the Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent the defendant and the arraignment was continued to April 13. The defendant is being held without bail.
