Program Descriptions


All About Birds - Make your own birdfeeder and more at this fun nature program.  Participants will construct their own birdfeeder to take home as well as binoculars, bird watching journal and bird origami.

Birdhouse Decorating Competition - Ready...set...decorate! Each contestant will be provided with a mini wooden birdhouse and a variety of decorating supplies that they can use to decorate their birdhouse any way they choose. Will you be the lucky winner of the golden bird statue???  

Grow a Buddy:  Plant Science! - Learn about Plant Science while making your own Grass Head Buddy to take home and tend! Each participant will get to make their own grass head, decorate it, and take it home to watch its grass hair grow! Participants will also learn about plant science with additional games and activities.

Painting 1,2,3:  Anyone Can Paint! - Paint two unique pieces of art with instructor led step-by-step instructions. Participants will make original art around the theme, "Read Beyond the Beaten Path." They will learn the basics of color mixing, composition, and scale, and will leave with two completed paintings to treasure forever. 

Powerful Pollinators - Learn about Bees and other Powerful Pollinators during this fun, hands-on nature science program. Participants will construct a mason bee house to take home and will learn about pollination with additional games and activities.

Puppet Art Theater - Join Puppet Art Theater for silly renditions of some familiar fairytales. What will these puppets get up to this time?

Wild Things - Join Conservation Ambassadors for a show featuring wild animals from near and far! Bring a blanket or some beach chairs and join us for this fun and educational performance.



Jack has traded his cow for magic wishing beans much to his mother’s dismay. In frustration, Jack’s mom tosses the beans out the window where they grow into a huge beanstalk. Up the beanstalk goes Jack and the adventure begins! Will Jack defeat the Giant? Will he take home the golden egg laying chicken?
