Pet and Animal Shelters
Placer County is currently only housing sheltered pets and animals at the Placer County Animal Services Center.

- Animal Redemption Hours: Open for redemptions 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. through Sept. 23 (after Sept. 23, redemptions will continue during normal business hours, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday)

Found Pet (If you have taken in a stray pet during the fire)
- Bring found pets to Placer County Animal Services at 11232 B Avenue or to a local veterinarian to scan for a microchip
- Contact Placer County Animal Services at 530-866‐5540 or [email protected] with questions or if you are unable to locate the owner and cannot continue to keep the pet
- Consider posting on the missing pets sites listed above
