While our County is now facing challenging conditions with the Mosquito Fire threatening our foothill communities, Placer County is sincerely thankful to know the combined forces of CAL FIRE NEU/Placer County Fire, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, Placer County Probation, and the Foresthill Fire Protection District are going to extraordinary efforts to safeguard life and property.

Attorney General Warns of Price Gouging

Free business disaster recovery guidance

  • The Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has partnered with Placer County to provide disaster relief. The SBDC has business disaster recovery experts ready to guide you for free. You may reach the Sierra Business Council by emailing them at: [email protected] or sign up on their website at sierrasbdc.com/join and their assistance is free.
  • The Sacramento Metro Chamber also has business disaster recovery professionals ready to help your business at no cost to you. You may reach the Metro Chamber by emailing them at: [email protected]. You may sign up by using this website (scroll down) Business - MetroBusiness Center. They also have a hotline if you prefer to call: 833-391-1919.

California Rebuilding Fund

SBC LogoThe loan is typically easier to qualify for than a regular SBA 7a loan. These funds are expected to go fast. Here is some basic information:

  • Max loan of $100 million
  • 60-month term
  • 25% fixed interest rate
  • Must have been in business since June 2019
  • Must have experience 10% decline in sales from 2019 to 2020
  • Must have returned to at least 30% of its pre-pandemic sales
