UPDATE ON PLACER COUNTY SHELTER LOCATIONS
For the general public: Shelters will remain open today night at:
For the homeless:
The Gathering Inn, a homeless shelter program based in Roseville, will open an overnight shelter in Roseville tonight and will provide transportation from Auburn to the Roseville shelter. All persons must be clean and sober of alcohol and drugs and not be listed on Megan's Law List for 290 offenders. The shelter in Roseville opens at 3:30 p.m. Individuals in Auburn can obtain transport at 4:30 p.m. at the gazebo near the intersection of D Street and Richardson Drive in North Auburn. The Placer County Welcome Center at the DeWitt Center will remain open after its normal day-time hours to serve as a drop-in center for homeless individuals who want a warm, comfortable place to get away from the rain. The Welcome Center does not have beds.
