The Placer County District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint against 35-year-old Joshua King for charges of felony robbery, among other charges as it is relates to a
local Lincoln area robbery reported on Oct. 29, 2022.
Specifically, it is alleged the defendant committed residential burglary and robbery upon the victim while using a deadly and dangerous weapon. The complaint also alleges that King threatened the victim with great bodily injury or death. King is also charged with identity theft for using the victim’s personal identifying information after the robbery. The complaint includes a special allegation of committing a violent crime on a victim over the age of 65, and allegations that he was previously was convicted of a prior serious or violent felony.
The defendant appeared in Placer County Superior Court this afternoon where the Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent the defendant. The defendant entered a not guilty plea and was scheduled for an early settlement conference on Nov. 15, 2022. The defendant is currently held at the Placer County jail without bail.
