Detective Michael D. Davis, Jr. Memorial Service

The memorial service for Sheriff Detective Michael D. Davis, Jr. will be held at:
Adventure Christian Church
6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville.
Date: Tuesday, November 4th
Time: 10 a.m.
The service will be open to the public.
Closed-Casket Viewing
The public also is welcome to attend a closed-casket viewing
Location: Chapel of the Valley
97 Vernon Street, Roseville.
Dates: Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and November 2nd
Time: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Arrival of the U.S. Honor Flag
At 7 p.m. on Friday, October 31st, the public is invited to observe the arrival of the U.S Honor Flag at the Sacramento International Airport. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office, along with other honor guard teams, is greatly honored to be receiving this flag. For more on the flag, go to The Honor Network website. It has attended most funerals throughout the U.S for military, fire and law enforcement heroes who have given the ultimate sacrifice since September 11th, 2001.
The flag will be brought out to Terminal B by the shuttles, where the public can view it as it is carried through the terminal. A procession will follow, from the airport to Chapel of the Valley in Roseville, where the flag will be placed next to Detective Davis.
Memorial Fund Set Up for Family
The Placer County Sheriff's Office and the Placer 10-35 Foundation have established an official donation account for the family of Detective Davis.

Online Donations: This is the only official donation account for the Davis family.
Board Meeting to be Adjourned So Members Can Attend Service
The Placer County Board of Supervisors will begin a regularly scheduled meeting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4th, but will adjourn the meeting at 8:30 a.m. so members can attend the memorial service. The board is scheduled to reconvene its meeting at 1:30 p.m.
A Message from Board Chairman Jack Duran
On behalf of the Placer County Board of Supervisors, I want to express our sincerest condolences for the loss our organization experienced and is enduring as a result of the tragic events of this past Friday with the untimely death of Detective Michael Davis Jr. Our hearts are filled with sorrow for his family, friends and colleagues.
Tragedies like this test us in unimaginable ways. In the coming days we will join together to honor our courageous brother-in-arms who made the ultimate sacrifice in his heroic service to our County.
Our Board will attend next Tuesday’s memorial service to pay respects and honor Detective Davis for his dedicated service on behalf of our organization and the entire community we represent.
