- Placer County is the place to be
Published on December 22, 2015
California’s best kept secret is out: Placer County is the place to be.
More people are choosing to call Placer County home than are deciding to pack-up the moving van. According to the latest numbers released by the California Department of Finance, Placer County leads the state in net domestic migration with 3.85 percent. We’re thrilled to report that more residents decided to stay (but not surprised)!
From our fertile valley to the Gold Rush foothills and over the summit to Lake Tahoe, it’s easy to see why so many people enjoy living in Placer County and are discovering what the Placer life is all about. The Placer life embodies all those who live, work and play in our great region.
The county is home to a wealth of outdoor activities to help satisfy the savviest of adventurers’ appetites. From world class skiing, mountain biking, boating, hiking, endurance events, fishing to horseback riding, Placer County has it all. You can share your love of our wonderful community on social media with the hashtag #PlacerLife.
Placer County is also a thriving getaway destination. It features first-rate retailers to one-of-a-kind boutiques, greasy-spoon-diners to fine dining and world-class entertainment. Farmers’ markets, ranches, wineries and breweries produce an embarrassing bounty of fruits, vegetables, meats and drink the region has to offer.
Come check out the Placer life. Odds are, you’re going to stay.
